Norma Borah Marking

I graduated from Huron College with a degree in math education after which I spent several years teaching math in Miller, SD, and Great Falls, Montana. In 1961 I returned to school at the University of Minnesota to work on an M.A. in educational psychology. It was while I was there that I met my husband, Ralph, who was working on his PhD in chemistry. We were married in 1963. After we graduated from Minnesota, we moved to Eau Claire, WI, where Ralph taught chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and I taught for two years in the psychology department. Fifteen years later, I went back to school to earn a degree in accounting and then taught accounting at UW-EC for several years. We both retired in 1996.

We have two married children and two grandchildren. We have enjoyed traveling since our retirement - touring Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Australia-New Zealand, Norway, and most recently, China. We have skied for many years and still like to get out on the slopes but have slowed down somewhat. Our favorite ski areas are in Utah.
